An Intriguing and ethereal release of beat brass music from hypnotisers Dam-Slo. This south London duo offer a pair of tracks which effortlessly display their range of direction and originality.

Dam-Slo are renowned for their live performances, and have gained a following from that alone. Bringing a refreshing approach to their sound, which blend broken records, live looping and aggressive approaches to improvisation.

This release is a rare glimpse into their world, which we at Woop Records hope will continue on to a pt.2 release...

Dam-Slo consists of processed Trumpet / Synth (Wilf Petherbridge) and Drum kit / Loops (Ben Hauke)

We turned on to Emma Jean at Monterey Jazz Fest, and she's the reason I went from 'ehhh I'm not sure I like Acid Jazz and I sure as hell don't like fusion" to "what the hell is *this awesome galactic brilliance?!* A rare talent and a damn fine slab of wax that I have on heavy rotation. I love many tracks including 'Spectre', and i wonder to myself how much it owes to Kate Bush's spectral "Watching You Without Me." jaxers
